I am looking for a decent setup for a 1998 Toyota Corolla. I am wanting an Amp and Woofer 12'' or maybe a 15''. Just wanting to hear some good brands and price range. Tell me what you recommend please. Thanks!

we know you want a speaker, but what do you want your setup to sound like.. loud as hell, or clear as a bell? and how much is in the pimping pocketbook? what all needs done for the budget? H/U? door speaks? wiring? (subs and amp we know) and are you any good at doing things yourself? ie, building speaker enclosures, wiring, installing equipment, etc.. we need lots more info, but you are in good hands here
I would like to have alot of bass. But make to where you can still hear the words of songs. I have people to install it. I dont need door speakers. I need wiring though. I am going to build a slot box for 2 12'' subs I think. Not sure on how much I wanna spend just yet though. Thanks!
Ok...if you still want to hear the music at high volumes...your gonna need to externally amplify your speakers or buy new better ones and amp them. Brands...I like JL also...I have a JL 15 W4 sub it can get pretty loud. Why does every single person in the world want a set of two 12's??? For christs sake you can get one good 12 inch sub and make it louder than two 12's...I'm just tired of people saying "yeah I think ima get two 12's here soon..." And if price is not an issue right now...how about a MTX Jackhammer...ten billion batteries...100 feet of 000 gauge power and ground wire...14 strappable amps...suspension upgrade...throw in a hypertech chip (why not??) and quad 500 amp high output alternators. ok ok...sorry but hell...not sure how much you wanna spend yet

Damn good price...and its from the Moderator so you know its a hella deal...Also Tyler...Caddy's W6's will outplay many many subs that cost more...also they are very underrated at 300 watts rms power handling...I've heard two of them in a prefab sealed box and damn...they were louder than my friends two 12 inch L7's in a ported box.
put one 15 in the trunk, in a large ported enclosure (or bandpass) and give it the juice that you were going to spend on the 12's. take up about the same amount of room as 2 12's and you just can't compare the sound of a 15 to 2 12's.. or an 18 if you have the money..hehe.. you can get a lot of sound out of one sub if you do it right. or use four 6's and freak your buddies out
the 18 was just a joke, goobers.. But the solox does do nicely in a hatchback I put a 15 in the trunk of my sisters hyundai, and it was most impressive.
