I have a volkswagen sports van and i would like to know how i can get the unlock code for the stereo. It is in SAFE 1000 error message. Battery drained and i had to get another one. I have the stereos serial number and other numbers written on the stereo but none of them unlock the stereo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. this is my first post.
The code came with your owners manual. It should be on a card resembling a credit card. If you don't have it, go to any Volkswagon dealer. He will need the radio serial number and he can supply you with the code and how to enter it properly.
