ok do u guys think that eclipse sucks cause some people told me that they were overated and sucked compared to all the hype they get and were very prone to blowing if the rms power is exceded
haha.....Eclipse is very good quality stuff. Whoever told you that they aren't...are fuking retards. Any woofer can fry from overpowering....that is why there is an RMS rating...if you go over that than there are chances that the coil will fry....your friends or whoever told you that are retards. They basically just said that if you put more power to ANY WOOFER than it is rated for than it will blow...DUH Further Example...."The Kicker Solo X 12 inch subwoofers sucks balls because if you put 4000 watts rms to it it will blow even though it is rated at 2500 watts rms." i really like the eclipse stuff. I heard their dual sub box they make.. man so clear. Their have amazing amps with actual clipping lights on them.. kick ass. I also am considering of upgrading to a CD5000 for the truck. Anyways, to answer your question no Eclipse does not suck at all. As far as if you go over the RMS it will blow.. thats why they have an RMS on the damn woofer. Running it above its rms is a danger for any woofer. Its like redlining your engine.. I mean they put that red mark on the tach for a reason.
