i have a JVC KW-AVX706 and due to the scurity feature it wont let me view a movie while the ebrake is down! is there a way too bypass this, its not really for me more like my passengers. we goin on a road trip in a week and i would like my friends to have sumthing to watch while were drivin. i knoe its illegal to have it bypassed but its also illegal to have remote start on 5speeds but i have that also. so if any 1 could help thats b great thanx

Yes there is a way to by pass it and only a complete idiot would do it or tell you how.

Remote start on a standard is NOT illegal and there are remote starts that can safely be used with standard tranny cars. The Autopage RS 860 can be programmed for standard trannies. Once programmed here is how it works.
This procedure must be followed or it won't remote start.
    1. Stop the car and set the E-Brake (do NOT shut off the motor)
    2. Push the remote start button on the remote. Turn Key Off and remove (vehicle will remain running)
    3. Exit the vehicle (yes its running) and arm the alarm.
    4. Press the remote start button (vehicle will now stut off)
    5. The vehicle can now be remote started the next day.

This proceedure ensures the vehicle is in neutral.

No professional installer will put a remote start on a standard transmission equipped car that is not specifically designed for standard transmissions. No professional installer is that completely stupid.

I wanna add one thing, I am a professional installer and I have two screens that are in veiw when I drive, but I can assure you that neither will turn on while the vehicle is in motion. In fact I installed the safeties myself. I would NEVER consider bypassing or disconnecting then for any stupid reason like my passenger cannot watch a movie.

Yes they are, and lookingg for a seious lawsuit when you get into an accident........Sue them and sue the manufacturer of the DVD player for allowing it to be bypassed.. This a "sue" kind of country anyway, might as well total out your car, kill 3 people and permantly injure a few more, while "not" watching the latest "fast and furious" movie......

hey guys thats not really all that funny... a good friend of mine was killed tues. in a serious car accident, he wrapped his mustang around a tree because a lady on her CELL PHONE swerved into his lane causing him to react quickly and slid and im sure we all know how mustangs are famous for no traction...so AK4 dont be stupid pay attention to the roads all times watchin tv while drivin is like driving on the phone. so dont put others lives at stake, set a good example especially for our young drivers, and that kid had just turnd 17 3 months ago an recieved the car as a gift from his parents.
so think, be smart dont be a dumbass

I knew a guy that had gotten a ticket for watching video while driving. Idiot couldn't beleive he got a ticket. Cop should have arrested him, throwed him in jail, impounded his car. I think the idiot got off easy, I hate stupid people.
