I bought this HU brand new probably 1.5 years ago, I put a relay switch on it and the first day I installed the HU I put a DVD in it and it played fine. I just recently bought a aux w/ USB to Ipod cable and I converted some video's so they were compatible with my Ipod, which my Ipod plays them fine, but when I plug the Aux w/ USB cable into the HU, my Ipod says something like "Video is playing on TV" and on the HU it just shows the track information with the album artwork, there isn't any video playing, can someone please help me figure out why there isn't any video? Note: I called Pioneer and spoke with a guy who ran through like 4-5 steps with me and told me it was my knockoff Aux w/ USB cable, so I bought the one that there site recommends for this HU, the CD-IU50V and I still get the same results.
what kind of ipod do you have? the reason i ask is that i ave a newer model 4400bh unit and id like to try and simulate the issue you are having just to see if i can be of any assistance in case my experiment works
I found my problem out. The first Pioneer rep that I talked to was just an idiot but the second one I talked to told me I had to turn my background off in order for movies to play I feel like I have a completely new HU now that I can watch music video's on it, plus when I show people it they all of a sudden want one and me to install it for them haha.
