I just got a Honda Ridgeline and the factory speakers in it are weak. I am looking to get new door speakers that are louder and have more bass. If someone could help me figure out what i need get to give myself a better system please let me know.
if you have the means, the new polk db series is hella powerful, but to get full performance you may also want to amp them, or change the deck in your truck if you havent already
he meant the radio. from stock to aftermarket. sometimes just adding an amp to stock speakers helps. not too powerful of an amp tho. 35 x4 to 50 x4 is about right.
i would do a small amp and LOC with some components up front and coxials in the rear. Infinity, Boston Acoustics, Focal, Polk, Beyma, and Alpine are just a few good brands to look at. Just look around and pay attention to sensitivity, u want a higher sensitivity up front and lower in back for rear fill so the fronts arent overpowered. you should go to a local shop and listen to some and see what u like the best tho cause we all hear things differently.
Yeah, my parents got an 08 ridgeline and the speakers don't seem to be too much of a problem. Honda seems to have put in some decent ones. Just see how the stock ones sound first on an amp before tearing up the body panels.
It could be possible that you've heard one of your friend's systems and it could have subs. If you've heard one of these systems, you probly wont get what your looking for by putting an amp on the stock comps. But I could be wrong and if you just want some more sound, look at an amp, new deck, or new speakers. Chevyman
