Hey I'm new to the forum and I had a few questions to see if anyone can answer for me. This is my setup:
    Alpine receiver 9847
    Alpine Type R 12"
    Alpine Type S 6.25"
    Alpine Type S 6x9"
    Alpine MRD-M605 Amp
    1 Farad Cap
My first problem is even if my receiver is off I'm still hearding the sub rumbling. I'm not sure why that is happening. I didn't have this problem before when I had my old amp on the sub. Now with the new alpine amp I'm having this problem.
The second problem is every time I turn the receiver on my sub makes a loud pop. I heard it is because the amp and the sub is being turned on at the same time and it does not allow it to delay.

ok what wire do you have your remote wire for the amp connected to? Lets start there.

i still think its the remote wire. This is why I think so. From what I get I think he has the remote wire hooked directly to the 12v ignition source wire on the HU and not the External Amp Control wire. The wire you need it to be hooked to is usually a blue or blue with white stripe depending on the headunit. If it is in fact connected the 12v ignition like i think it is... turning the reciever off will not turn off the amp as there is still power there on the remote wire until the car turns off. The same goes for that pop you hear as there is no delay from when the cd player turns on to when the amps turn on like there would be if it were hooked up to the headunit properly. This is my theory on the problem.

Thanks a lot guys. I was thinking it was the remote wire too. I didn't do the original wiring in the old setup. Thanks for the help I'll try removing the dash and check if its wired to the ignition. Any of you guys no where I can get an adapter for my 6x9 speakers so I can mount them in the factory holes for my rears.

You guys were right. I rewired it to the receiver's remote wiring and it solved both problems. Everything is working great. I love my new setup. The sub is hitting hard ass hell now. Thanks for the help.
