Have a jeep cherokee and need help with what size subs to put in it? Right now have 2 15'' MA audio's powered by 1200watt hifonics amp. They sound decent but I want something that hits hard and is very clear though. Should I go with 2-12's, 2 or 3-10's? What kind of amp would you recommend powering these subs? I would spend prolly 200 each of the subs and around 350 for the amp.
There in a 4 cubic ft sealed box, its a little small my friend told me. What kind of box should I put them in?
sealed box is never for output What size enclosure depends on the subs. Off the top of my head I'd say 7-8 cubic ft tuned to 40Hz should rip your face off. I know I had a single MA Audio HK150XC in 4.3 cubes tuned to 40Hz and it was loud as balls for a single 15.
Yeah I have to HK150XC's so I'll think about getting a new box. There in a 2000 grand prix and it was so tight, we had to jump on the box to get it in the car so I don't know how I would make a box like that to fit in there. I'm already gonna most likely have to cut this box out once I get rid of the car whenever thats going to be.
You can fit the enclosure in there....it will just be higher than the back seats. Jeeps have small cargo areas...they suck. My exploder has a decent amount of room
I was talking about the grand prix and fitting them in it. And when they do go in my jeep, i won't want all that room taken up cuz im usaully loading stuff in the back a lot. Oh well, i'll just have to suck it up that i can't be super loud.
Well if i was you i would just get dimond audio... but make sure you get the d6 version those are gonna nock that jeep to hell and back and i think they run about 154.99 if i remember right. and for the amp.. i would go with a autotec d class amp i have been useing those for along time and ive never had any problems with those and that should make **** rattle.
you want one bad ass system bro. oke heres what you gotta do.you dont wanna take up all the trunk of the jeep ok well get a box built for the jeeps trunk in lenght 2 12 inch holes and mount the amp on the back ok now for the subs and amp ok this will nock your ****ing socks of. get 2 dimond d6 12 inch subd they are 1200 watts and they ****in nock hard. for the amp get you and autotek ss1000.1d that will push them great aand then you have room in the back but be sure if you put something back ther that you have grill covers too . but you will have room and you will be loud as hell. if you need help here my busseniss number 512 944 3951 my name is richard austin pate i own joker custom audio. hope to here from you.
that that too. altho i know a girl thru the other forum i belong to, and she runs diamond stuff. its an all sq system and she has done well from what i hear.
