Nah deal went off Ok well my batteries are charging and it is 30 degrees in my garage...I'll have to wait and see if it warms up tomorrow. DAMNIT!!!!
its getting cold here too.i think its like 50ish here, and suppose to go down to the 30's tonight. its camping weather!
wow...just got home and its about 17*F without the windchill. With it its prolly around 4-5 degrees. DAMNIT!!
It's cold here too.. It's about 85*F don't have to worry about the windchill. LMAO. No winter here... Just raining for 2 days straight though. When are you going to start the build azn?
Well today I went and bought the dowels and some more wood glue. Realized that it was freezing cold so if it warms up this week I'll start. I don't start school until next wednesday...I want this done by then. Damn you and your 85*F weather!!
well we have a huge heater in the garage cept there is a gas leak somewhere that needs to be sealed...I don't know where its at. I'd use the heater but risking my house blowing up isn't worth it until it gets fixed
Just curious, if eD recommends... ideal: 3.5 ft3 @ 30Hz DDLoud: 3.5 ft3 @ 35Hz ... why are you going with 5.5 ft3?
Eh....3.5 cu ft is too small. It will work and sound good. Those boxes aren't what I am looking for. These 19ov.2 really love big boxes. My goals with this enclosure is a lot of output, relatively flat response over the bandwith, and moving the most air I can. Trying to get 90+ sq inches of port area in a 3.5 cu ft box will make the port length far too long and would make the box as big or bigger than this one I have modeled up. 3.5 cu ft, 92.5 sq in port tuned to 35hz = 50 inches long, port volume 3 cu ft 3.5 cu ft, 92.5 sq in port tuned to 30Hz = 70.8 inches long, port volume 4.3 cu ft I've used the 19Ov.2 in a 2.5 cu ft sealed box. It didn't like the small box. Don't get me wrong the output and sq was still very good for an 18inch sub in just a small sealed box. This is going to wang HARD basically...I just can't wait though. Fu ck cold weather
well I can knock out the build in a couple days if its warm enough for me to work...then it'll take a day to fill the screw holes and sand it down. A vid should be up by the end of next week if I get the box done by Sunday Any requests for vids??
Well guys sorry I haven't started this build yet...its been too damn cold here, found out my circular saw has a bent guide so I need a new one. Once it warms up I'll start. I want to use screws on this box because its going to be fairly big. But Monday I'm buying a new Porter Cable circular saw baby yeah!!! Then I'm also going to get a cutting guide too...100" Cutting Guide But next week I'll do a build with just brad nails....experimental box. I'll give details laters
