So, i think i've figured out the system i want.

    I'm gonna get two 12'' Kicker Solo-Baric L5 Series Subs. (4-OHM)

My Amp i think will be a JL Audio 1,000 Watt at 1 OHM.

I was told to wire my subs parallel into a 1 OHM so they receive the most power possible.

    What would you guys recommend?

That sounds perfect. Should sound real nice in a good box

if you get the jl 1000/1, it delivers 1000 rms at 4 ohms, 2ohms, and 1ohm. also its constant 1000 watts between 11v-14.4v i believe...its pretty awesome :)

definitely build one! it is an enormous difference. you'll never forgive yourself if you get a pre-fab box

jl 1000/1's are only 1.5ohm stable....

well thats what I read... but then again its hard to figure what our real impendance load is...

i was just going to say that too, maybe his imp rise is compensating for it.

hell my nine.5 has a .7 ohm load but my rise is at 2.1 ohms.

i had a friend do it. you'll need a clamp meter and DMM.

you measure the voltage going in to the speaker wire then the voltage at the amp.

he did it, and there was math and i forget.......yeah so im no help right now..lol.

after that he divide my reading to get me 2.1 ohms at 50HZ or something.

all i know is that he said the bigger the box the lower the imp rise.

now i have to google it to know.
