ok guys, since i have been making money this summer i am now deciding on a system for a future car. i know i have done this before :p but since elemental has the preorder going on i think i better order subs.

    heres what i want:

    2 e15k's
    1 cadence z9000
    1 cadence q3000
1 set of cadence 6.5 comps (the $100 ones)
    wiring, accesories, etc.

i think this setup will give each sub around 425 and each front comp 100 if i have everything figured right. what does everyone think? i think that it will be nice and loud, just how i want it, but with good SQ because of the subs and nice comps up front. so i need some opinions, because i need to order the subs asap. thanks

Don't those subs handle like 800 watts each? I was under the impression they were way under-rated. Are you going ported or sealed?

    sounds very good
those subs can take alot more power, so you are safe on that side

    port the box =)

it will be ported, they are rated at like 300 but i know theyre under-rated. maybe i should go with the z7000. would there really be that much of a difference in loudness if i put 750 to each instead of 425? is it worth 100 bucks?

If it were me I'd spend an extra 100 bucks to make sure there's plenty of power. I'd rather have too much and turns the gains down then wish I had more.

well, right now all i have are CD-R and CD-RW cd's. but i think in the future i might want mp3's. do most head units play burned cd's? if so then i might go with something cheaper like a pioneer 630 or panasonic 601.

Most hu's play burned cd-r's. I am not shure about cd rw, but all mine did. Check the manufacturers site. You dont have a car right? Its worth it to wait to get the better product. Especially if you wont be using it right away anyways... Dont skimp on the hu :)

nope i dont have a car yet, i am leaning towards the 740 but i dont know if i will ever use the mp3 part of it and if i dont use it then why spend 80 more bucks on it????:(
