My new speaker boxes

    Okay so in order to get my speakers to fit behind the seat in my ute i have to make some nice thin boxes for them. ive never made speaker boxes before but i thought id have a go cause mdf is cheap and i have the tools and im not at work cause its raining. anyway heres some pics

    i thought about that but ive never done that either and nobody will be able to see them so i didnt see much point really

    Well it is very easy to do,
    but I didn't think about them not being seen so I wouldn't either. lol

    lol. any ideas on how i can help stop them sliding around? apart from going slower round corners? lol

    yeah, I would just take some L brackets and mount it to the box, and then to the back wall of the truck.... or something like that.

    L brackets will work like lazy eye said.

    Nice job...Did you brad nail those?...Looks to small for the holes to be screws..Very nice job on the construction and cutting the holes...Very nice

    yea i couldnt find any screws and id already put the glue on lol so i just used inch long panel pins, just lil nails and then i couldnt find a nail punch so i had to use a centre punch which ended up looking like the holes were countersunk whick i think is kinda cool. what would i attach these l brackets to? i dont really wanna go screwing into the back wall of my truck lol

    not only is MDF cheap it is the best material to use for speaker boxes

    what you could do is lay a length of mdf along the back floor the width of the back for a tight fit and screw the boxes to it.
