OK, my car won't start, adn I'm limited on tools, and I don't have a way to get to a parts store to buy a new coil, which I think is the problem. Now, I went outside to start my car, and it started, like normal, for less than 5 seconds, then instantly died. I know I've got fuel, and it dies instantly, just like I turned the key off. I pulled a plug, and tried crankin it over with a plug pulled, and it looked as if my spark was intermitent, and it was a very red spark, which would indicate a bad coil, right?

    BTW, incase you didn't know, it's an 84 olds deltaa 88, 307.

Doubtful it is the ignition coil.

Sounds more like a pick up or the module to me.

It lives. It was a plugged fuel filter, after all. really strange, I think. I figured, well, hell, I'll spray a lil either down the carb, see if she runs. Well, did that, and, she fired right up, then died. So, I was like, well, shit, I'll take the fuel line off, and pull the filter out, and see if I'm even gettin fuel to the carb. Fuel sprayed everywhere when I cranked it with the fuel line detatched, lmfao. But, I hooked it up without the filter, started it, and it ran perfectly. I'll just have to get a new fuel filter tomarrow, thast all.

BTW, anybody who knows a quadrajet - the fuel filters in them, those tiny ones - you should be able to blow on them, and move that little diaphragm, right, cause I could not.

Hahahaha, I just replied to your PM and told you to inspect that bugger :2guns:

Actually, 1 side is an open entrance and the other is sealed. No diaghram. Usually when they are clogged they swell up in the middle.
