ok most of you guys know i had a false floor made.it's great i love it,but now my 4 ch amp is humming. it's a very quiet wine.barely audible, but i know its there and it drives me nuts. i know it's from the amp/s being screwed to the metal floor thru the carpet.i got nylon washers and will put them in tomorrow.so my question is....if that doesn't help what do i look for next. mind you it never made noise in it's previous location.(mounted on a plastic board to the seat back) could the case have been twisted when it was screwed down.?cause just backing one screw off a couple turns reduces the noise alot. again if the nylon washers dont help what other "tests" are there to perform? selling the amps is not an option either.
Amp is whineing? LOL ask it if it wants some cheese with that whine..It's most likely from being screwed to the floor, separate it completely from the floor and get a ground somewhere else in a good place, with nuts and bolts and sanded to bare metal, which i'm sure you know already lol.
thanks for that, but thier lactose intolorant.lol. i have'nt got around to putting the washers in yet.tooo darnhot outside. my other option i was kicking around is to gut the truck and redo the whole install. i could hide some things better this time around.
yes.yes you do.it's not the cleanest install under there.it was very hot the day i put it all together.so i was in a rush. i WILL take care of that soon.
