I just cop the mtx 8500 , some sick sub, haven't installed yet. looking at the spec they are good. havt to buils a enclouse to specs. u might have to do the same
what sound are you trying to achieve??? How much power do you have to work with and at what impedance??
Need help!!! I don't have a amp yet I was going to get the sub first and match the amp to it. I like nice clean deep bass more spl. do you have any other suggetions on what type of sub would be great for that box and what amp to use? I'm on a$400 budget for amp + sub.
Plus money for a good box...which would be atleast 100-175 dollars unless you have the tools and can build one yourself I'd say an Alpine Type R from here for 125 dollars + shipping Realm of Excursion Then an amp....say this, I've heard good things about it...awesome bang for the buck Crunch GP1500D - Ground Pounder Series 1-Channel Class D Car Amplifier • 375W x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms • 750W x 1 chan. @ 2 ohms • 1500W x 1 chan. @ 1 ohm Max • PWM MOSFET Power Supply • Silver-plated power connectors • Silver-plated RCA inputs and outputs Then all you need is a custom ported box...no prefab enclosures here from best buy or circuit city if you want CLEAN DEEP LOUD bass
I already have abox the link is in the first post, that's why I was asking what would be the best sub for that box?
oh yeah...sorry I've had a couple Type Rs in about 2 cu ft per sub ported...box that I built...tuned around 32 hz and it wanged hard and LOWW that box should should do that Type R well
i hate to look like one of those people who keep plugging a product, but i love my pierce audio products WMD. that would be a nice box for it. but if you want to get something more mainstream i'd go with the 8500. for power? a really good deal on a kicker amp, not very clean but lots of power Kicker ZX750.1 Factory R/B - Factory Reconditioned with 90 Days Manufacturer's warranty, 750W RMS x 1 at 2 ohms • Class D design • wired remote bass level control • preamp outputs • CEA-2006 compliant • subsonic filter - , The Liquidation Station - S
Pierce Audio Products are pretty hated over on ROE. I forget why. If you want Sound Quality than the WMDs are for you...they aren't really geared towards SPL
