http://youtube.com/watch?v=8PYS0IdViOo Funny thing is the guy only mentioned it hitting 130db. Comments....
This thing is a joke...It has been posted many times before...ya, its a woofer, and ya it goes boom... but so does my computer sub.... the physical size of this thing means NOTHING as far as the boom boom factor......
i've got a truckin magazine that has a truck with 2 22" jackhammer subs in it and they say it hit 185db's. i didnt know people were hitting those kind of numbers unless it was a misprint.i'm in the printing buisness and know these things happen alot.
that mag is lying...there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that sub can hit 185 decibles There have been many REAL competitors that have tried to make that sub loud but it can't get as loud as normal competition setups...There are single 10s setups out there that meter louder
yea, well you know how people think "bigger the better." I learned thats a lie when I came to the site. But with rims, the bigger the better. haha quote quote "IT'S THE MOST ENORMOUS MIND BLOWING SPEAKER EVER CREATED" i think they didn't turn it up all the way to reach 130db. I can't really remember but i think 125db is when you start losing your hearing.
I hit 137db with two 12 inch Kappa's run by an Alpine 1005. I'm sure the jack hammer can hit louder.. but its sad that people think just because it has a lot of watts, it hits hard. Watts is just the measurement of the power required to run the thing. It has nothing to do with the quality in which the power is used!!!! All the jackhammer can do well is drain your car battery!
WOW! I always thought they were good because I've never really looked into them and just saw em on tv and they made them seem pretty good. . Maybe I'm thinking of a different sub?
for what it costs....you can get a much better woofer. If you wanna reinforce your frame...get heavy duty springs and shocks...get a few 300 amp alternators and a dozen batteries...a vehicle big enough to have a proper enclosure for the thing AND the batteries, amps and everything else...a super reinforced enclosure....sure go for it. But for a a couple grand for everything you can have better sound and more spl
