MTX 8500's

    Running 2 MTX 8500's rated at 500 RMS each totaling 1000RMS. I was thinking of running a Alpine PDX-1.1000 - Alpine 1 Ch 1000 Watt Class D Amplifier. Is that enough?

    that would be plenty...what voice coil configuration are you buying??

    dont waste your time with the 8500's. i ran 4 12's each at 500 w rms... was loud but mtx is a sloppy sub.... last install was 4 alpine type r 12 at the same power and is louder and cleaner...

    Enclosure is key factor also...
