Is there anyone on here that would happen to know of any shops in Southwest Missouri that would be able to install a suspension lift kit on a truck? I know there are some people that are from around the SW MO area. I don't want to go to 4 state 4wd though, I already have a quote from them, I would like one from someone else.

    Do it yourself!

Lots of fun and learning to be had. B)

I'm sure it would be easier to install lift components than the lowering components that I'm always installing on my rides. ;)

yeah.... I dont' know if it would be easier or not, it would make sense that a lift would be easier to do than a lowering, but it isn't something that I would like to jump into myself....

Does it have to be a professional licensed garage?

not sure if a lift is needed for your project, however my dad runs a garage and can do about anything. He does not have lift yet so if one is required he probably cant do it.\

However he can do it if it dont need one.

    want me to ask?

    It doesn't.

The components come out easier than you think, and are installed one wheelwell at a time.

So, all you need to do is have one corner of the car jacked/jackstanded at a time. B)

The part you wouldn't be able to do is align the car afterwards by yourself... but the truck will be plenty drivable, you simply need to get the alignment to eliminate any pulling or steering vagueness due to changing the geometry of all those components.

...and it isn't totally impossible to do an alignment yourself...
After lowering my Pathfinder, I just started tweaking and "aligning" based on what I knew of what to adjust due to what symptoms I was experiencing... and I got pretty close.
Close enough to not to need to mess with getting a professional alignment, anyway.
Which is good, since I've only done "round 1" of lowering so far anyway. :D

Cant hurt to ask, so i will ask him tomorrow and see what can be done. I know he did my suspension without a life. I was a car tho, so im sure it will be different. But then again he did the suspension on his 98 ram with no lift
