so got a client that's got a pair of memphis reference 12's Dvc's. he recalls getting them a years ago or so... but has no other intel on them. I've been trying to find them but iam coming up wit nothing. any ideas? there arnt any model numbers on em either... any thoughts?
to get the x-max mainly. and see what kind of call they have for ft^3 per driver is. think a safe bet is around 1.5-3 per and 2"-4" port diam. ?
a 2" port would be way too small for a 12" sub. 4" at least if not a big fat slot port. can you post any pics of the sub?
yup ll snag a photo next time I swing by the shop.. don't know exactley hlow ill post it managed to fry out the comp yesterday before work... lol
I thought a general rule was to not go over 16" on each port. Or, is that just a personal thing that i heard?
the port length is affected by the tuning and the volume of the enclosure and the surface area of the port, it never matters as long as its what you're going for.
I heard somewhere that when a port is more than 16" long, you should add another port to make them shorter.
nope...port can be 75 inches long...it depends on the design. In my chambered t-line the port is 75 inches long but that is part of the design.
