A couple of years ago I did this miata. For one reason or another I never got pictures of it. Well I have it back. Opps. It wont play Ipod Video

The owner was a little perticular. Everything had to look like it belongs in the car. Well its his car so it was my job to make it happen. Also this guy was really cool. He said keep the car as long as you need to. No rush. (Let me tell you, you don't get many customers like that)

Mazda Miatas don't have rear speakers, and that sucks for a drop top car. We need volume. So this box was built and installed in the car. The speakers are Polk Audio 6-1/2s

The media center is located under the passenger seat and the amp that powers the door speakers is behind that same seat.

The doors of course look stock. The Bose junk was removed and adapters were made out of 3/4-inch MDF. In the doors are Polk Audio 5 x 7's and a pair of tweeters in the factory location.

Now back to me messing up, the HU would play DVD's and it had no problem doing Ipod music

But no Ipod Video, I forgot to plug in one plug, so shoot me. It works now. And besides, he wanted a way to plug in an aux video and audio source. So it had to come back to me anyway, right?

Almost forgot, the Ipod cable and plug is in the console

As of this evening, its all back together. I don't think that he is gonna pick it up until Thursday. I really like customers like that.

Its one of the few cars that I can sit in and listen too for long periods of time. It sounds really good.

In fact the owner came by to check on things. I was in the car, doors closed, system cranked up. Just jamming.

This car has no sub and in my opinion, none is needed. With what I know now, if I were to redo my truck, I would not have a sub in it. The 5 x 7's are qiute capable of handling the low end, mounted properly and given enough power.

The 5 x 7's in the Miata are mounted very well and do a fantastic job. You would have to hear this car to believe it.
