Well from what I've heard through fellow audiophiles, Is ma audio was out in force, at ces anyone know if it's true?.....
I have been to a few of the CES's, Always lots of excitement at the new products that are gunna hit the showroom floors. Very seldom does any ONE producrt truely stand out above the rest once they are integrated into the public market. I remember a few things that were gunna rewrite audio and the way it was done according to the "expert" marketing groups, never happened. One was the Digital Signal Processor, and the sound feilds it creates, neat toy, fun to play with, but never really caught on in the publics eye (or ear). CES is a great place to go and check out the newest tech toys, for sure. (along with the strip bars, casinos and strip bars with lap dances and reps that get drunk and pay for your lap dances!!!! ) MA might be out in force in the show, but that does not mean that they will win over the consumers. Lets face it, the car audio market is FLOODED with amps speakers, HU's, and whatever else they can shove in the cabin of your cruiser. It ranges from the cheapest garbage to the most high end elite aquipment that could ever exist. The market is driven by demand, and unless a manufacturer is gunna play in the same ballpark as the average consumer, they wont make it very well. The few exceptions are those that truely make a product that stands out from the rest, and does it well. Then stick to there guns and not go after the mass market to make that extra buck by whoring out the technology and manufacturing to off shore facilities. MOST have done that. (Orion, you basterds) MA might fare well, i hope they do. I have not heard there equpment, not really ever checked into them. Audiophile class equipment is usually expensive and very particular in its integration into the mobile enviorment. Half of the success is the way it is installed and set up......the other half is making a product that is 100% relibla and true to its advertising. Of course all this is just my 2 cents....
