looking for clear and loud speakers

    im thinking of putting new speaker in my probe..Im hoping to spend no more then 300 for all 4 but I would like a very clean,loud sound I will be using a 600.4 sony amp I would like a speaker that will take a abuse..i dont want a super high tweeter but I want a clear clean tweeter i dont like the high to make a head ring i just want to match the speaker to the bass for a cleaner more sql spunding setup

    im open to anything really the only ones I have ever had as one cheapo ones from walmart and then about every kicker ever made i dont think Im to hot on the alpine sound or the mtx sound I like alittle softer sound then those i dont think kicker is as bad as some people make them out to be

    you may want to check out phoenix gold RSD's. they are cheap but have GREAT sound. highs are not bright at all.

    you may also want to take a look at some polk. a lot of guys here stand by them and say they are really good speakers. I'm using DLS for my speakers. they may be a bit pricey though.

    i dont want to be unhappy with what I get..i also dont want to brake the bank to get them I would like to get something that i will not have to or want to upgrade in a year or so

    my buddy had some and we took them out with in 25mins the sound like **** if you ask me sorry but i can get a set of lightaingaudio speaker to sound better then them

    I agree is cc on the pheonix gold rsd... my brother had this like octane series ones that he got for 25 bucks on sonicelectronix and they sounded really good nothing like infinity kappa perfects that he has now or neither like focal or mb quart q like my other brother had... but just really nice full sound for 25 bucks was great... and ive read the rsd's are a really good budget component set... if not polk is really phenomenal... in all their speakers they make... http://sonicelectronix.com/item_9109_Polk+Audio+db6501+6-1-2-+2-way+Component+System.html... those are a nice choice.

    no where in town sell the pg i have heard polk audio and dont like it.even if I have to spend abit more on the speaker I will to get that good super clear loud but not high sound

    if you want super clear loud then you may want to look into some PA speakers. i dont mean power acoustik but a PA like whip or eminence.

    you'll have to look for a separate tweet then too.

    well im using a sony 600.4 so i would guess im putting out like 50-80rms to each ch

    I haven't heard of the PG 6x9's, i just hear a lot of good things about the 6.5's
