hey i have an 01 integra was looking for a good quality set of component speakers for the front, have 2 infinity 6.5's in the back like the sound got audiobahn in the front currently and have been unimpressed. i hear good things about infinity kappas, is this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290018642829&fromMakeTrack=true what im looking for? if not any advice on better speakers for a reasonable price?
infinity kappa perfect 6.1s are the best money can buy 100 rms 400 peak (yes this is per speaker) 90 sensativity i just bought my set!
is it really worth it? i can get the ones listed in the link above for about 150 the perfect i found at best for about 215
it is all based on opinion. its always been mine when buying something especially electronics that in probably less than 2 years it will of been replaced and out of date. therefore the better the produect the better the investment. why buy something that isnt the best, which in this case is what you want? why burn 150 on something lesser than the best, cuz then you burned 150 on something inferior. that way youve bought what you want and couldnt of gotten any better!
Be warned, sensativity ratings from harmon companies are very suspect. you can knock 3-5 db off their rating to get a rough estimate of what they really are. And i'd never ever say kappa perfects are anything other than good. I certainly would never compare them with DLS iridiums, Morels, Rainbows, or those $4000 a pair Alpines by saying they are the best money can buy. I will say they are better than stock speakers, but not as good as others at the same MSRP.

misunderstanding, when i ment best money can buy he stated he was going to buy infinity kappas, therefore i was telling him to buy the best speaker available from infinity. i know there are alot better than perfects, jl's z series for starters....
azn... thanks for the smile.. yes, hate to argue with a mod, (how the heck did that happen -anyway?) but infinity's are NOT the best money can buy. You can spend as much as you want, and the little infinity's pale in comparison to real serious speaks. they all sound hideous to someone, so just make sure that you are only trying to impress your own ears, otherwise you drop a bundle on a very big dissapointment. you have to listen and see what you like best, and remember that a good quality sound system can be had for cheap (relatively) if you know what you want, and are willing to do some homework. you will find that when you start out, this is a big lesson in trial and error, just make sure you know what you want before you start writing checks (or clicking BUY IT NOW for you whipper snappers.)
woah woah woah lol i posted what i ment by that, when i said best money could buy, i ment the best infinitys money could buy which are the infinity kappa 6.1s. i kept with infinity because he stated he wanted the kappa and i said why not go to the final set and get the perfetcs. read up above i corrected myself, but ill say again no they are not the best speaker ever, they are the best infinity has to offer and a damn good speaker. If i had the money i woulda sprung for some jl z series or randows, alas im still payin off my car and cant afford both lol oh and answer to your q joey asked me like 2 days ago to become one so i said sure why not, i have no life! lol
