Well the new season is quickly arriving. :) As a lot of yall know, i had a few problems with the 8s in the truck. The best score 151.5 at 36hz with 12 8s. Its time to get louder for this season. This build will start in about 2 weeks or so. Im just posting a build log to get everyone interested. :) :)

New setup equipment to start with
    4-Sundown SA 15s
    2-Sundown SAZ 2500s
    4 Powermaster d3100s

    Box
    Around 12 cubes
    160 sq inches of port
    Tuned to 35hz

Heres a sketchup for the box. Port is across the top. I think this will be the most musical.

I am running a single 15 in my grand prix and it's like 3.35 cubes tuned to 32.5hz.I can't imagine 4 15'sn a truck, but if your building to spec than you should be good.Is your port L shaped or just rectangular?

Well i added the team nemesis logo into the box and redid the port from 40x4 to 32x5. Heres the revised pic. I will be starting next week. :)

I made these today at school. Dual 0 gauge amp inputs. :) I drilled the wrong side of one but i can use it on the other amp. I got to make 2 more. What yall think?

Those inputs are sick man! The pods look good too! Let me know how that setup sounds and how loud it is. Are those the 6"? I was thinking of going with those exact same things.

I was bored at school today and i was thinking of this design. I drew it up so i can actually see the box and do my calculations for it and see if i can fit it. One thing is, the port will not be running top to bottom. It will only be 32x5 instead of 39x5 like in the pic. How do yall think it will do?

looks good. but for numbers, port on the drivers side is what works. when you run just take out the drivers seat and run from the passenger side.

do you remember my friends white malibu? his ports on the drivers side. 4 15's in a 4th order bandpass. doing mid 50's on a busted up box. he's rebuilding it to the same specs only he needed a new baffle.

make sure your screws can support the weight of those new subs, if they're heavy.

Well im not really going for any loud numbers. Just loud and low. And the organization i compete in is Street Spl and they place the meter in the center of the windshield. Yea i remember ur buds malibu. Im really trying to come up with something besides a flat wall.

oh ok. center should be fine too i would imagine. it would channel the sound to the center of the wind shield just fine.

I would ask you on CACO, but its down, again, like always. But, how much do you pay for those 3100s?

Well i did some calculations this weekend and it turns out i will not be able to do a vertical clamshell. :( It would come out to 6 cubes before bracing and sub displacement on each side. So here is the final design. A regular flat wall. :( Im not too happy with it but o well. It turned out to be 7 cubes per side with a 32.25x5 port. I thought about recessing the whole baffle back 1" to gaing some seat room. That will leave me 6.6 cubes for each side before sub and bracing displacement.

    Heres the box.
