well further to my other message about the 1200rms i found a nice orion amplifier which is supposed to be good amplifier from what iv heard from you guys. I found some nice but very cheap legacy subwoofers. Are these subwoofers any good because they are very cheap.

HAHA...Everything made by Legacy sucks dick...the end...nothing more to it.

If you wanna buy it sure it'll last about a minute.

My friend bought a couple "1200 watt" Legacy red cones 12 inch subs and blew them both easily with an Eclipse 500 watt amp putting out clean power...no clipped signal.

Why would you buy a nice amplifier and buy sh!tty subs??? Thats like buying a 502 crate motor and putting some used junk yard tires on some 13 inch rims.

Save up and get something that is quality worth it...what are the specs of your amp??? Then we may be able to lead you to some suggestions of subwoofers

Yaa i thought that the subs would be a bit like that considering their price. That is why i posted up in here first. Im thinking Hifonics Brutus bx1500d

i know those are good because i searchd on it on this forum and they are good. But correct me if im wrong

HiFonics used to make some pretty good amps. at least they did 10 years ago, were always good power for subs, always took alot of abuse, and ran hot as hell...but they lasted. we always sold them (along with AutoTek and Crunch) to "the kind of people that like to play rap at full volume with the headlights dimming and no highs worth mentioning"...if ya know what i mean. basically people that had NO respect for the limits of what a car audio system does...... If they are anything like they were years ago, they would make a fine choice for any system. sounded good, performed well, and even the SQ was good.... just my 3 cents

You, sir, are the first person I know of who has ever posed the question "Legacy subs or Hifonics?"

IMHO, That's a no brainer. Save the extra money, and go for the brutus. You will not regret that decision.

O no you get me wrong Hautewheeler. The Hifonics is the amp. I am just looking for a sub to go with that amp. Which is kind of hard at the moment. Any sugestions?

I would suggest a couple 15 inch Adire Audio Tempest with that power your gonna have....either that or a couple 19Ov.2's from ED

Actually no, I have never heard of them, drunk or sober......

Looks like some nice stuff really, thanks for the link Azn.....

Would really like to hear some of thier speakers and such, but no dealer around here for them... Looks like a smaller growing company that has just recently started up...

I think I love you, azn..:)

But, anyway... Why the heck would you ever want to torture a legacy subwoofer with a HIFONICS BRUTUS AMP

    ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Trust me, No legacy is ready for that kind of power, and neither is your insurance company!

O what about audiobahn.... i mean the speakers definatly arent cheap. and they have good reviews.... so wat u think? audiobahn imortals? and i can actualy get them in the uk. Cancle that.. aparently audiobahn are not that good. Did a search. Ok did another search and aparently they have some very good stuff and some very bad stuff when it comes to subs. And this sub costs an arm and a leg so im guessing its the good stuff... 10" immortal. any experience? Id go for those two subs you said but they arent avaliable over here in the UK

Fuk Audiobomb!!! Seriously all of their crap sucks....the immortals won't even handle their rated power and suck balls.

For that kind of money you can actually get a really good woofer...can you get the Image Dynamics IDMAX sub in the UK??
