I just ordered a kicker sx650.1 of ebay to replace a kicker kx500.2 that is not working.
I think I have made a mistake I should have done more reserch after talking with a kicker sales person they told me they are hard to set and they put out the power of a 400 watt anolge. I'm powering 2 oldschool kicker comp vr's @ 2 ohms and with the kx500 they pounded but the amp was not 2 ohm stable so you could only play them hard for a short time. The sx is 2 ohm stable so I know that part will be good. Do you think the sx will compare? I don't want to even open the box when it comes if it won't.

honostly I think you will be happy with the 650. Wired to 2ohm it puts out 650 watts while the kx500.2 only puts out 500 watts bridged. The SX series are nice with digital readouts and internal cooling fans. It will compare just fine.
