well guys, id like some help. im buying 1 of the 2 woofers, but not sure wich one. my box will be 1.25 ported and tuned to whatever it needs to be. i have plenty of power, the max space for the alpine is 1.25, but its also the minimum for the kicker. iv herd the l5 and it sounded good but i dont know the size of the box it was in. anyone herd both?

i have my kicker in a 2cu ft box and i love it.

i swapped boxes from a 2.25 to this smaller one.

    its made by probox
    ProBox: 110SQSPB

sorry though.i dont know any one other than me that has one sub.all the guys i meet have multiple subs and thousands of watts.lol

now i have heard what a couple can do,but they were 18's.

either way in the right box both will sound good.

Type R needs atleast 1.5 cubes

Kicker works better in larger box also.

I'd recommend the Elemental Designs 11Kv.2/3 or the 11Ov.2/3

well i geuss my next question is do you guys think 1.25 is to small for the kicker? its in the range of specs, will that box size damage the woofer? thanx

the size wont damage the driver...To me that is just a little small for the driver.

It will work perfectly fine...actually the smaller box will lower chances of mechanical damage

when i got my kicker it was in a .88 cu ft enclosure.

it had nice tight bass. sounded beautiful

well if it sounded good then it should sound beter in a biger box if built right, correct? maybe 1.25 is enough space. i think the new question is l5 or l7?

for that i would say power is a factor.how much you gonna be feeding it?

well, power isnt much of a factor to me as much as space. i have a puch 800a2, that i think will do the job.

i think i have the box size, what do you guys think.w12-h14-l17=1.65, still dont know the port size or the tuning.

well then would go with the L7 for the fact it handles more power

for the extra 50-60$ i think i should, dose it matter wich way the sub faces in my dodge magnum wagon? eather the back or the side?

are those dimensions external? if so the actual box size if it was built out of 3/4" mdf would be rougly 1.2cuft gross minus sub and port displacement.
