Well, I just bought my girl some speakers off ebay.. now try not to laugh.. i know i am.. but.. they are Dual 2-way 120watt speakers. Dual as in the brand .. not like dual as in two.. well you get the picture. Anyways, I won them for 12.49 and 7 bucks shipping so .. 19.49 shipped.. new in box. Her rear speakers are blown so I figured these would be better than nothing for the time. If she likes them.. I may just spring for another pair.. hahah. She knows nothing about car audio so these might as well be 200 dollar speakers. I will let you guys know how they sound once I get them in the mail.. should be interesting.. if they even work.

hell yeah man, thats how you do it! those things are gunna POUND! I've seen Dual 6x9's hit 300 db's in a rolls royce phantom! ha yeah...right. lol

Na it's cool, you gotta do what you gotta do. My 4 channel alpine amp created a problem with it's own RCA Imput so I bought a CHEAP JVC - I know.. I laughed when I put it in my car too. but it's only to hold me over for a couple more months till I get my JL 300/4

lol i ended up getting 2 pair of them because they are so cheap and also a portable mp3 player with a car kit.. the one with the 12v adapter and the tape adapter thing too for her car. We plan on getting rid of the car in about 4 months or so .. so this is prolly the best way to go. total system cost with shiiping is about 50 bucks... haha. If i can find one of those self amped bazooka tubes on ebay used for cheap I will get that too.. this is so funny.

sweet thanks for the advice pedro. Quick quesion but will I be able to hook up a bazooka tube with a stock radio or do i need RCA outputs. Everything seems to be going well with the Ebaying for once.. of course on cheap crap stuff it always works :p never when I actually try to sell something like a Ford Bronco.. bahhh.

Wonder if i can hook my home audio amp to these 6.5s to test them before I install them.

Bazooka has these F.A.S.T. harnesses for their tubes...its has all the connections...they even recommend using high level inputs...I'd tap into the rear factory speakers

Ok I have all the equipment. So far I have been able to get the rear speakers installed without a big deal. Still have the front ones to do this weekend and I need to buy a new Cassette adaptor for the mp3 player because the one i got with it it just kicks out and wont play it but the mp3/cd player thing does work. So I prolly pick one up at Walmart tomorrow.. then put the crap one back in the package and return it.. lol.. anyways... I got PICSSSSS!!. here are the pics..

Ok this is the start of the install.. with the old speakers being pulled out and the old grey plastic grills broken and thrown in the trash.. they wouldn't come out easy to I took a crowbar to them and they gaveway.

Next are a few pics of the finished install with the new speakers.

Next lets compare the 2 speakers side by side and take a closer look at the old speakers.

Overall, we are very happy with the responce the new speakers have. Notice that the old speakers were 10ohm speakers compared to the new 4ohm speakers. Much louder and much more mid bass responce. Problem is right now the rear speakers are much louder than the front but Ill be fixing that this weekend when I install the front ones. YES!! so i will be posting more pics once I start on that.
