hey if someone could help me id greatly appericate it! I have a kendwood KDC- X493 with a 500/5 jl amp and a 13in w3v3 and it sounds good but i was looking at getting a 13in w6 The problem is i don't think think a 500/5 will be able to power a 13 w6 is this true?
I am guessing the amp is rated at 500 watts? And what I could figure on the sub is its rated at 750 watts? (correct me if I am wrong) With that said, that amp would be more than capable of driving that sub.....( again, i dont know the voice coil impedance of sub, nor the minimum impedance your amp can run) Put into the right enclosure the sub will work very well. Will it be better than your current sub? It all depends on the enclosure......Box is EVERYTHING!
alright thanks man! is it worth getting a new amp and a w6? will it sound better and its in a ported box
