well, infinity's fix and their depth is 2 1/16 while your JBL's are 2 11/16 depth. if anything you'll just have to put in a mdf spacer but you shouldn't have any problems at all with putting the JBL's in your car.

Ive also been looking at another pair of speakers, these mtx's they look really nice, and are much more shallow. only 2.25" in depth vrs the almost 3" of the mark II's from JBL. both are rated 150 rms which is what I want. I've heard the JBLs have some really muddy mids on the Mark II's, I havn't found anything on these mtx's though they are mtx's top of the line pair as far as i know

ahh, well i've picked up these speakers, they are a true power house, and i mean that in all sense of the word power. you will be hard pressed to find a speaker you can push this hard. it's not truly the best set for SQ but the SQ is at least grade B, i'd say and the power handeling is grade A, i currently have it taking 150 rms, and my amp was tested to be able to do as much as 180 rms on a 4 ohm load.

as you may read on the net, they have muddy mids, but i'd describe more as a fuzzy sound than a muddy, certain frequencys really don't sound good through the woofers, especially with out a sub in the system. but with a sub, its not pickng up as much bass in the woofers and they sound much cleaner. don't be discouraged by this, they sound great, and the tweeters are very crisp, and mellow they will sound great in any SQ power stage. i can't truly run them at 100% with out loosing some SQ, but they do a damn good job trying ;)

I wouldn't put these in the front, i'm not putting them in my front stage, they are in raised boxes in an open air flow. they sound great wit the 1\2" MDF boxes I have them in.

all in and all, i'd say an 8\10 for these, only they can't truly hit 100% output from the deck with out distortion. the distortion experienced is minor, and can still be ran at those levels with out ruining the music, assuming you can withstand the DB levels. they are very powerful speakers.
