hi can someone here help me please, i'm new to the audio world but would like to hit the ground running . Dont understand how to use this post either but still trying anyway I have 2 pioneer subs 3000w max each and 1000w rms. What i want to know is the Pioneer prs-d5000spl amp which max is 3000w and rms is 750w is enough to push these two subs or do i have to buy 2 amps.
I wouldn't buy that amp...What impedance are your subs??? How much money do you wanna spend?? Doesn't matter what subs you have....if you don't have a good enclosure than you won't be that loud or sound good
Hi, thanks for replying I would like to spend under $500US. The impedance of the subs are 2 ohm or 8 ohm (4 ohm dvc) you said you wouldnt buy this amp why?
This amp is only stable down to 2 ohms. With your two subs you have a final load (using both coils) of either 1, 4, or 16 ohms. At 4 ohms you'd be giving each sub about 300 clean watts
The pioneer amp has 1500w @ 2ohm thats more than the amp you recomended which only has 1475 @ 1ohm and 1000w @ 2ohm . Why this amp over the pioneer ? http://www.avcarexpo.com/22.html
yeah sure that amp will work for ONE sub. That other amp is 1 ohm stable. If you want to use the Pioneer amp you will have to buy two of them. Reread post #4
how about this amp its 1ohm stable http://www.bargainunlimited.com/servlet/the-786/SOUNDSTORM-D3000SL/Detail
