Guys I'm a little confused in installing my amp. I don't know any at all about this, but I'm trying to do it myself, reading instructions and what not to avoid installation fees from places like bestbuy. How do I connect my amp to my head unit? My factory head unit doesn't have RCA connectors. My amp does have the alternative input lever speaker connector, but how do I connect this physically to the radio? DOn't know how to do it? What about the colors, how do I know what color is what? The input lever connector I have that fits in the amp goes out with like 4 different colored wires, and they are all about 5 inches long. How am I suppose to connect this to the headunit and where? Please help

2 options for getting the signal to the amp, the first and just as easy as the other, is to "tap" into the speaker leads going to the rear speakers. (I am guessing that you are installing the amp in the trunk of a car).

get about 15 or 20 feet of 18 gauge speaker wire, hook it into the each rear speaker. that will give you about 7-10 feet of wire coming off of each speaker. Pay attention to polarity,

run these wires into the high level input of the amp, again watch you polarity. that will give the amp the audio signal it needs.

the other option is to use, a audiolink pl-2. its a hi to low level convertoer. then run rca cables from it to your amp.

    does that answer your question???

low level converter will sound a lot better than the crappy built in one in the amp

A low level converter does not connect to any head unit...you splice the front or rear speakers leads to the converter then connect that to the amp with an rca cable
