I currently have 2 Infinity Reference 1252w subs. DVC I did have an old Profile amp on them i had layin around but in the back of my blazer i wanted it all to look nice so i went and spent the money on a Infinity Reference 611 amp. It does look nice, but i have had nothin but problems. I got the amp from crutchfield. Got it, put it in, went to hook up the speaker wire and the terminal was all stripped out. Called crutchfield, they sent me a new one no problem. Got the new one, installed it and no matter how i have it set the clip light comes on. I cant even have the gain half way. Not to mention it sounds like crap. I have a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP cd player, using 4 gauge power and ground, rockford fosgate rca's. I am stumped and really thinking im better with my old school profile unless you guys have any ideas. My first post and im kinda new to all this car audio upgrading so take it easy on me please.
first of all how do you have your subs hooked up. Because.. you say you have 2 .. dual voice subs. What ohm load are they wired to?
