hey guys.does any one here know where i can find a deal on tweeters. my passenger side tweet started to make a scratchy sound the other day so i disconnected the both of them. right now i have the infinity plates up front and my 6.5's in the doors and the tweets in the plates just aint cutting it. i just need some links to find some good inexpensive tweets.

Oh my God, I have never seen a tweeter collection before. Any tweeter should work well as long as it has a good crossover. So find some cheap tweets and build your own crossover. Tampa Florida should have at least a few electronic parts wholesalers. You will need 2 5-microfarad non polar electrolytic caps (4.7 is close enough) and 2 16-microfarads. You will need two coils (air core is fine lets keep this cheap) Value should be 0.1mH or 0.15mH. This homemade crossover is on my Polk DX3000 tweeters. Major noticable difference over the polk crossovers
sounds like i may need to solder.i cant,but my bud might be able to help. what kind of money are we talking about?10-25bucks or so? i belive i blew my passenger tweet cause i rewired my amps.one M50 runs my right ch and the other the left. also i bridged the outputs to the doors for 245watts @4ohms mono rms.the dash are wired normal for 4 ohms stereo.sooooo each amp was making around 275-300 watts rms. i'm sure it was my fault.lol.i even turned the gains down all the way.plenty of head room still. so any suggestions for tweets?
i couldnt take not having any highs so i wired the tweets back in till i find a new set. funny thing is it doesnt sound that bad anymore.wierd? i do hear it though with some songs. i get a harsh ssssss sound with some songs.vocals mostly.i eq'ed it diffrently to reduce it but i hear it.not like before but i do hear it. so no one know of any deals online at all? i prefer the sound of softdome tweets.
Pedro...soldering isn't hard at all. all you need is patience and a steady hand...kinda. twist the two pieces of wire together that need to be soldered...they don't have to be super tight together. Wait till the iron is nice and hot...tin the tip of the iron...press and add solder to the wire and not the tip.
