HI, i have a power acoustik fire and ice 820 watt amp. when i hook it up it is sending 12 volts through the speaker wire, also the light on the amp does not light up but i know it has power, i would like to know if this is worth fixing and any good recomendations where to fix it.

I have done this many times before, and i know for sure it is hooked up right, there is a short or something in the amp, it is sending dc current all the time through the whole amp, when it is all hooked up the speaker wires spark if they touch.

lol please ditch the light up grill....is it audiobahn???

I'm not sure how the amp is outputting dv voltage through the speaker outputs...it would have to be something majorly wrong internally...rectifier or transformer whatever...hell I'm not sure which converts dc to ac

speaker wires spark when they touch anyways. there is electrical current running through them. is the remote wire is hooked up to the hu?
