I have just recently bought a new head unit for my 2004 pontiac grand am. It is an Eonon 1015 touch screen dvd player. I plugged the mic in to use its bluetooth function and it seemed to work fine. When i swithced back to my music after the phone call the volume shoots up really fast until it reaches its max. I turned my subs off and the volume does not go up. It seems to be raising when the bass hits. It even raises a notch when I slam my door shut. So why is the mic making my head unit raise its volume level when the bass hits and can i fix it? I am very inexperienced with car audio so I appreciate all of your help and time. Thank you. My system is as follows: 1 15 inch db drive plw15d2 hooked up to an alpine pdx 1.100 with stock door speakers and an eonon 1015 head unit. Once again thank you.

I wouldn't know where to start. But it really seems to be an HU problem. Exchange the HU for another one. Lets see if another one does the same thing.
