I need help with building my ported sub box
    I got 2 pioneer 12s 1000w rms 3000w max that need an enclosure with 1.2 cu.ft (each)
The port holes should be 3" Dia X 3.5"
How do i work out the dimensions
i wanted a triangle box instead of rectangle one
i have a mazda 6 hatchback with the trunk
    width of 42in
    a height of 17in
    and a depth of 18in
that i could use without problems
The problem is i dont know hot to get measurements for each side out of 1.2 cu.ft

I would like it to look like this
    Current Attachments (25.8 KB)
    bass%20box%20front.jpg (13.1 KB)
    bass%20box%20shell.jpg (12.6 KB)

don't use that recommended ported box size and tuning

its too small and tuned in the high 40s and you will have port noise.

it would be easier to just build a rectangular box...or can you cut angles for a box like in the picture??

Cutting the angles are not a problem once i get the dimensions i need yes it would be easier to make a rectangle one but thats to normal and besides the triangle one will look better in my hatch.

The sub also gave these other recomendations
    1.6 cu.ft 3"Dia x 2.5"

    0.8 cu.ft 3"Dia x 7"

A major benefit of this sub is its Air Suspension System, which creates an airtight space between the two cones within. This enables the main cone to move solidly and smoothly, reflecting air pressure from the enclosure. The result is a very tight bass; even in a very small enclosure.

    Here's the sub
