Okay, so i recently had gotten a 1994 Honda Accord for a gift. I Love Music, and this was my first car, so i was definitely going to put a system in it. I know how to wire everything and install. So i installed 2 new 6 1/2's for my front, 2 new 6x9's in the back and a Kenwood amp for the speakers. Also i installed 2 sony explode subs in a bandpass box with an older PYRAMID Crystal amp.
-subs are 380 watts each with Pyramid PB781X 1000-watt 2-channel.
    -with a Kenwood KAC-8452 4-Channel 70 watts x 4 chan. @ 4 ohms
    -Xplōd CD Receiver CDX-GT640UI

When i have everything hooked up normal, everything works perfect, but my subs dont hit that hard, and i want them to hit harder.

My Problem*-i Bridge both my subs to the amp so that it would hit harder, and when the bass hits, my speaker volume goes all the way down, and theres only bass. and when the bass calms down or no bass at all, the speakers go back to normal. And it would keep doing it. the only way it wont cause this problem, is if i turn my sub volume almost all the way down or my main volume really low.

PLEASE HELP, what would be causing this and what could i do to fix this issue??

Check the voltage at the battery with your stereo on. Could be low voltage or your ground isn't good on either the head unit or amp--check them with a DMM. Also, what gauge power wire are you running to your amps?

Okay will do. How many volts should it be at? I think its a single 0 gauge wire to a distribution block splitting into two 0 gauge wires. But you see if I have everything hooked up normal and the subs not bridged, I can turn the bass up all the way and the volume up pretty high to without the speaker volume going down.

can the sub amp handle the low ohm load? i agree with it being a voltage issue.

rewire the subs back to 2 channels. if your not happy with the bass out put its deff a box issue. even those subs on 100 watts each should sound good in a properly designed enclosure for them. ditch the prefab band pass, when money allows.

That Pyramid PB781X amp is only rated at 160-watts RMS. Its no where near 1000-watts. Seriously, you need a serious amp and thats not it.

You want to guess or estimate the real power of an amp, look at the fuse it has. If its a 20-amp then amp is around a 200-watt amp. An amp that has a 30-amp fuses will be around 300-watts. This is just a method for a quick estimate.

Use this method because many manufacures lie

I wouldn't use a pyramid if you paid me. Ever notice you can only find them in flea markets?

No offense, but buy name brand.
