I just bought a sony head unit with usb and auxilary inputs. I installed it and the radio works perfect but when i plug my ipod in to USB or AUX, i get no sound at all. NO beep nothing, the meter even moves that shows when sound is being produced what could be the issue????? please help i dont really want to bring it back to the store. Also my last original car stereo was broken the cd player and tape player didnt work, so maybe it is the old wiring i donttt know at all.

Have you tried other devices in the aux port rule out the reciever?? Maybe its your Ipod. Get a walkman or portable cd player and plug it in to your reciever with a new(or different) cable to make sure its not the device or a bad cable.

If you still have the problem, check the settings on the receiver. Some receivers have a setting to adjust the Aux volume level so it matches your radio level. Perhaps its turned all the way down muting the AUX volume?????

    What model is your Headunit??
