okay.... i plan on investing some good money in a system this summer and my concern is will it get stolen out of my car in the first 2 weeks lol that would kill me.... i want to avoide that and i would app some advice on how to best prevent it from being stolen..... thanx.....
well my insurance company covers it as long as you have it mounted. But other than that just get a good alarm system I guess. lol.
I would recommend a 2-way pager alarm. 1 mile range would be the best one. Look at what Directed makes (Viper, Python...etc.) or maybe something by Code Alarm.
What I mean by mounted is like if you have it all secured down like bolted down with a brace to the floor, instead of just having it all just kinda like laying there. And as for the alarm I agree with DMP.
if you cant afford a paging alarm go with the best you can afford. skip the frills like popping the trunk and remote start,but get one that you can upgrade in the future when you want and can afford it. hell my old truck had a 50 dollar cheapo unit for 10 years in it. since i had zero power anything all i had was flashing lights,oh and i mounted an extra siren inside. starter kill is nice to have too.
