i got a system!

    hey guys i just want 2 ask you if i got a good deal on it or not and or wether or not i should sell it or keep it....

    i got 2 15 kicker comp vrs in to sealed boxes
    and 2 1200 watt sony explode amps 4 $225 total

    it all works and it pounds out pretty good

    so let me know what ya guys think

    Well the subs are very good, but the amps could be better. I'd say you got a fair deal.

    good deal. those amps will power each sub well enough.

    sony doesn't make the bests stuff but the subs are good. you got a pretty good deal for what you paid... keep it til the amps crap out on ya then upgrade! :)

    I think that you got a pretty good deal my friend had the same sony amp and ran his 2 alphasonik 12's for a while and then upgraded to a power acoustic 4000 BAMF

    I think you've got good deal! I'm also considering buy these amps, subs, but not sure which to get, I'm also thinking about Alpine, you've given me good reference though.
    And one more thing, do you have a good head unit? It's necessary for me, haha! I'm using this Eonon HU with bluetooth, USB, SD.. it's worth the money. Most important thing is playing videos there always amazing my familiy a lot.

    thanx 4 the input guys...
    i only have one amp hooked up 2 it right now and it crunchz....
    i briged the amp and it blew the glass fuse i had under the hood when i got the volume up 2 about 20 out of 46....any idea why?
    and my second question is if i hook up both the amps will it kill my alt or battery?
    because thats what a couple of my buddies said....and they said dont hook up both up until i build up my alt.

    The fuse blew because the amp is trying to pull more current thru the fuse then the fuse is letting it. Before hooking up the second amp, i would do the big 3, upgrade the alt and get a extra battery because 2400 watts is not good on a stock electrical.

    Dude I'm running my 2500 watt amp off of my stock alt, and my friend I mentioned above is running his off of a stock alt also. it should be fine

    but my understanding that @ even if you have 2 small amps that are = to one bigr amp in watts the 2 small amps will be taking 2wice as many volts as the big one....

    can you explain to me the process of hooking up a 2nd battery....
    i mean 2 do it soon....

    Run your wire from the positive on the front battery to the postive on the back battery, then run a ground wire from your back battery to a clean piece of metal in the back. Preferably as close as possible to the rear battery.

    you cant act run like a power wire can you doesnt it have 2 be a spec battery cable?

    okay guys new play my buddy is trading me his 5000 watt boss amp for those 2 sonys so i should be fine....mabe build up my alt but thats all il try and get some pics up when i get a chance
    and boss amp is a boss blade extreme thig is like a foot and half long its a tank

    funny thing is my old 4ch is just as big. and its only 40 x 4 of super clean power. boss tends to really exaggerate their power output.

    used to be able to do 136db's all day long with 1/2 of that amp on 1 10. :huh:

    power isnt everything. clean power is better to have.

    well sh** guys i dont know who 2 believe this sucks, lets just say the exag there sh** by double that is still 2500 watts of power that is enough 2 power those 2 subs, more then enough in my op......
