Hi just wanted to introduce my self my name is Scott Stoner. I am an installer at a local shop here in fresno california. I also compete in db drag ss1-2 wall with adire audio brahma 15's. I currently run 8 planet audio 1250d's. This season i plan on running 16 ample audio 1500dx's to my new brahma extreemes. I also plan on running sq this year using 2 8's in my doors and my koda's in the kick pannels. The 8's will recive 300 rms each off a planet audio tube amp. and the koda's will recive 150 rms each powered off another planet audio tube amp. Scott Stoner

Oh... Also wanted to get your take on the new quad-coil ruling? Heard there's been a post on TermPro that quad coil subs are not going to be allowed in competition this year. Any thoughts? Aren't the extremes quads? :bag: Or do you have eight of them? Or are you strapping the amps in pairs?

Yes they are quads i really dont go to termpro much so i didnt know about that rule. Any way that rule sucks Why should it be outlawed??? I actually have 2 of them on the way which will be powered by 2 amps strapped to each coil for a min of 3000rms with low voltage on each coil
Is that going to affect your plans then? I wonder if you could do something as simple as having some dual VC recones sent to you... or rewire the quad coil units under the dustcap (that sounds extreme)... ...not that reconing a sub is fun. As stated on CAF though, it may be premature to make any plans yet... I didn't gather that it was truly an official statement, or ratified ruleyet, for that matter. Sounds like a powerful setup... it would be a shame to have to scale that back at all. Are those amps strappable - in that event?

Unfortunately the economy hit us really hard (as well as some credit card fraud), so I doubt we could do one. We don't have a meter after all. I suppose if we do one though, I could probably talk Dan into coming down for it.
