I have narrowed my selection down to a few brands and models for the front of my Dodge Magnum. I was going to go with a three way setup but have decided to go with a component system, specifically the Boston Acoustics Pro60 set. Or maybe a cheaper series depending on the answer to this question.

My question is how can I tell if these will sound like garbage off of my deck instead of an amp. I have plans to add amps but at first I would like to just use them to replace my factory speaks. Is there something on the specs for each set that would allow me to get the answer to this question.

    Thanks,
    Keith

Look at the "efficiency" or "sensitivity" ratings, the higher the number, the better. It doesnt mean that one spekaer is better than another, it just means that the higher the number, the less power it takes to get them "loud".
