I have a Kenwood KGC-4042A EQ i want to hook up but don't know the wiring. I know the black is ground but don't what the blue and yellow are. Any help?
blue isw remote turn on for amps/ power ant, yellow is the wire that get hooked to the constant 12 volts. It must see voltage at all times, even when the car is turned off, it keeps the radio station preset/clock memory alive! Hell, now that i think of it, didnt some of the HU manufactures start dong a blue/white wire? one was for the amp the other was for th ant................?????????????????? better let someone else post on the blue wire!, but you wont hurt anythng by hooing the blue wire up to the amps remote turn on...........I know that much!!!!!!!!
As Viking said, the yellow goes to a constant 12-volt source. The blue wire is the turn -on wire for the EQ. It needs to be hooked to the remote wire from your radio. This way it will turn on and off with the radio.
