When I went to chicago a while back I remember being amazed at how many radio stations were available, like 5 rock stations, 4 country stations, etc.. here where I live the radio station choices suck!! There is one rock station, one classic rock station, two pop stations, one rap station that has a really crappy signal ( though I can pull it in now with my Kenwood X859 deck) What do you guys have for radio stations around you? I am sick of going through about 4 stations, and either they are playing over played songs or they have comercials on!!!! :wtf:
Atlanta seems to have a bizzilion radio stations, I scanned them all once when I forgot my CD's....ended up on some wierd undergroundish rap station...I really hate the radio, CD's only for me
I listen to internet radio at home (www.spinner.com) and CD's in the car, no local radio too amny comericals
But that is a whole lot better than here, I am in a radio waste land, I seriously am thinking about getting sirius or xm radio...I just hate to have to pay for the sirius or xm reciever, then the monthly fee on top of that, I can't afford that on top of my car audio needs!!
Well, lets see...there is the edge-alternative Kiss-top 40 hits fm- rock 97 rock-classic rock wblk - an all black radio station......thats right, they only play black music, except for Eminem..they played him today....must be they think he is black too??? Like 5 country stations a couple classical a couple christian a couple oldies .......ya there are quite a few... ones that I actually listen to.... The edge Kiss WBLK thats about it Cd's for me
I hear you man CDs for me too. The lack of good radio stations is what drove me to pay more for a good MP3 deck, so then I can basically put all the songs that I listen to on one cd, and then just hit the old random button.
I'm not too bad off... 1 classic rock 1 classic/new rock 3 or 4 country stations 1 shitty top 40 1 Christian programming <--yay! 1 r&b/rap 1 alternative npr out the wazoo a few more stations that I can pick up sometimes...from far away, richmond, etc. I can usually find something good on the radio...that will probably change, soon, as Clear Channel takes over the world
