How many car audio products are made overseas?

    Question 1:

    How many of these products are made in China, Taiwan, Thailand, Mexico or Japan? I'd say 97.5%. Those workers make these items for like $1.50/day.

    Question 2:

    Is it right for American Electronic Companies to outsource their work to Asia or Mexico? To me that's a pure form of Treason. Meaning they believe in other countries before their own.

    Walmart does the same thing. They hire companies in Bangladesh and India to make their clothes. 60 minutes had an episode on it and it was disgusting the way these people lived with one room and one light bulb in their shacks. They brought one of these girls to a USA Walmart to look at items she helped make and she couldn't believe the prices (relative to what she owned) and broke down crying because she felt she had been used.

    Um...its just not car audio products man...have taken a look at pretty much everything you own??? How many products do you have that are actually manufactured in the USA??? Check the tag on the shirt your wearing...exactly

    Yes it is right...cheaper for us i think than if they were made here...whatever though...isn't gonna change.

    Good question but not really...sorry...just my opinion

    Everything is made somewhere else. Look at the "American cars." Check the door plate...guess what?..."assembled in mexico". Look at the mouse, screen, and keyboard in front or you... More than likely is made is some other country. If you call to complain about when those things break...your talking to someone in india. I could go on and on....but i have better things to do...:D

    Planet Audio says "handcrafted in the USA" on the box. Thats right, the box is handcrafted in the USA. The amp in the box was made some where else. Korea, China, one of those places, I forget which one.

    I remember back in the day when ALL Orion, Rockford, And PPI amps were made right here in the good ol USA. I even knew a gal who hand built several Power 1000's and a few 650"s..........

    Those times are gone now, unfortunatly. Doesnt Soundstream still build here? I thought they did. well they used too anyway, I am sure that has cahanged.

    BTW, when the hell we gunna nuke china? Its overdue............First strike, thats the way our forefathers did it, its the way WE should do it..............
