ok heres the deal i have a pair of kicker ks6930 its running off my head unit(Kenwood KDC-MP345U) right now sounds really good to what i originally had in there(1 4in speaker made in 1969). i have an alpine mrp-f300 amp that ill finish wiring tmrw to hook up to the 6x9, the amp is 4 channels at 50watts rms at 4ohms but i can bridge 2 of channels and it'll give me 150watts rms at 4ohms so im looking for a sub that is rated to 150watts rms and 300watts peak. I was lookin at either the kicker 10c124 or 10c104. has anyone of you guys ever heard these subs in action? Any opinion or suggestion would be helpful.

I had 2 in a sealed box, sounded fantastic!

I have a pair of 10 in Type Rs. Running them at 4 ohm (200 watts each and they hit very hard). RMS for each is 500 watts. So im plenty under RMS for each one.

like is the bass still accurate for a ported 12" at 150rms?

Try looking for a sub that is very efficient (Infinity) they will give you more sound with less power, also make sure you get or build a box exactly to the specs.

my buddy gots an infinity setup in his trucks sounds pretty nice but i went with a singe kicker 10c124 and wow they are impressive, sounds better then alot of other peoples setup with two twelves maybe not as loud but way cleaner.

im using a sealed box with just about 3/4 the required volume, would have a box twice as large sound even better? and being ported?

    Enclosure is everything......

an old 1969 woofer in the right box will do better than a new driver of the same size in the wrong box...

    trust me.....its true.

doubling the size of your box will only make it worse.... no transient response, lack of upper bass response and limited power handling ... just a guess....but i am probably right.

venting the box in the right areamight be thething to do

i thought that if the box was sealed then it would have better response but if it was ported it would be louder but sacrificed response
