Hifonics (MIKE P) hey i know we go into the 'discussion' (lol) about how hifonics was taken over. At the time i didnt know by who but i found out that it was a company called 'maxsonic' (sp...it was something like that) and that the Gen XI amps are NOT in production anymore there is just a surplus of them. heard anything about that? I dunno how much of this is true but i thought this may shine some light on to the topic (if its true) ps also posted on CAF... pss i like this site better now WHAT AN :asshole: (lol just had to use it) -Chris
Maxxsonics took over about 6mos ago, I said that in the post we had awhile back API (audio Products incorperated) went out of business, They are still based in Chicage, and I believe most of the staff is still at Maxxsonics, it was basically just a name change, and were seperated from the "matt coleman" family No big deal if the Gen XI's are not in production let me ask you this 1> Why are theu still list on the company homepage 2> Why are they still on the offical price sheet from hifonics 3> Why are they still being shipped
i was just told that there was a large surplus of the amps...and prices have begun to drop (now i dunno if its due to the take over .... but thats what i was told) <---why am i newbie now? Last edited by Hazard269 at Oct 22 2002, 11:32 PM
told by who? rumors should be taken as a grain of solt unless you have seen an OFFICAL press realese I would take them as just that, a rumor They only have 3 amps lines Appollo (entry) Zues (mid) Gen XI (high end) it would not make much sense to stop making them unless they are just not selling at all............... They do have a heft Price tag
i dunno if it s a rumor but i know its not official...and thats kinda why i was just questioning it... well the only thing i was told that the gen XIs arent in prodution and there is just a surplus of them.... and maybe they stopped making them in plans of a gen XII also i know they arent cheap (or didnt used to be) but prices HAVE dropped.
