Whats the difference? (if you look close one says 25 anniversary, and is a "Super d")

25th anniversary specs"When it comes to class D monoblock amplifiers, Brutus amplifiers are truly the king of D class. Brutus BXI amps are considered some of the best amplifiers in the world and the Super-D Class Brutus amplifiers reinforce that. The D-Class digital chip-set technology produces extremely efficient, low temperature, and a high amplification system resulting in a smooth digital to analog conversion with low distortion. The amplifiers stable at 4, 2, and 1 Ohm(s). All in all, that means that the amp will produce more output with less stress on the car's battery and charging system. I don't think there's a difference, but since they're refurbed Hifonics,I'd stay away from them.Alot of people had problems with them going into protect and staying that way.I had a BXI1208d and had no problems, but all of the stuff I have seen and read pushes me away from them. The super d has a 3 year warranty and the other has 90 days.

    There the same amp

Saying super d is a sales trick both those amps are refurbs and have a chance of breaking depending how there made and there also made in 2008 originally you don't have a craigslist where you live.

reconditioned, remanufactured, refurbished, rebuilt, renewed, rewound, reenlisted, reworked and reinstitutionalised ....

    Hmmmm

Ok, heres the skinny.....actually some factory rebuilt products are OK...sayin this cause when a new amp or whatever comes off the assembly line it is not usually tested or run through its paces (not true for all i know) when its on the repair bench it is gone through and tested to be sure it will pass a minimum standard. I have owned a few products that are FACTORY rebuilt....had good luck with them. One was an alpine 7909 and the other was a rockford power 650....just my 2 cents

Im with Viking. refurbs get twice the atention. look at it this way, say the amp is tested rolling of the assembly line, right? then the customer buys the amp it breaks they send it back diagnose and fix the problem and then retest. (and from what iv read not all amps are broken when sent back, just say some one was not "satisfied" and they send it back, i believe they habve to call it a refurbish, what else would they call it? idk if this is true or not) i dont know thats why im asking lol

    but those weren't

hifonics some amps are better when fixed like a mtx amp they just swap the board send the amp back with 3 monthes warranty $90 dollar flat rate depending the weight. But hifonics is not mtx there amps are poorly made in the first place then they go to component level and fix a amp that has a smoke imput transistors. Then the amp comes and the same stuff goes out because they fix it cheaply buy not replacing the pair of transistors but just the one I had a blown brutis it was givin to me.I had my amp guy that repairs amps and he said there not worth fixing because the cost is high and considerable trouble shooting time I would spend about $120 to fix it and on the streets Its hard to sell em for $175 When they see it on ebay for 220 so I threw it in the garbage.

Theres usually a couple ways to tell a refurb

Aline drawn across the serial # some have stickers some a have a check mark inside the amp but if a amp has been used and sent back that is pre owned not a refurb.

Im an Orion man.....Stick with what I like... Just like my trucks and cars....Dodge

I would rather spend a little more money for something good at maybe a little less power than something bad at a little less money and a little more power....you will be ahead of the game.

Keep this in mind....in order to go from 120 decibals to 123 decibals it takes TWICE THE POWER...so 300 watts gives 120dB, 600 watts gives 123dB......just a little FYI. Dont blow your hard earned cash on junk....I would rather have a high quality 100 watt amp over a low quality 1000 watt amp....everyday

well thats good info, so what you recomend to get the most out of 2 l5s ~1200wrms? (depends on my box) BUT at a resonable price? i would love a kicker 1500.1 but we all kno that would take years for me to get

    Here we go

So you have a few 15 inch subs.....dont care what they are at this point.

You want maximum boom boom i assume? (that ryhmes)

So, with that said, we need to understand a few things. The transfer function of the vehicle, the displacement limited power handling of said subs, and your budget.

First off, what are these subs going into? a truck, car hatchback? give me details and limitations if any......

W#hat kind of music you want to hear? rap crap, country, rock, opera????

what kind of respect you have for any given system? can you respect its upper limits? do you know when the bass is at its max? do you care? a car audio system is like an engine, it has its limits....you push it too hard and you throw a rod through the side of the block

Lets start there...what you got and how ya want it?

I just had this same conversation with a kid wit cvrs

Hes running that 64 dollar lanzar amp. but heres the thing the price range is hard any good 1000 watt amp usually goes for 175 to 200 used any good 1500 watt amp sells for 300 to 600.But being on a budget with your limitations a 2 ohm 1200 to 1500 watt amp is hard. Theres not to many amps in that category I could think of I seen people sell used zx 1500s for $250 But I would probably buy a audiopipe or a old school rf 1500 but new most of the stuff is junk.

Im sorry, i know this has been gone over millions of times...
but here is all details i can think of....
    budget- ~250
music of choice- rock, rap, country, blues, (just about all types.)
vehicle-car trunk limited space but enuff for ~5^ft ( recomend air space for ported box with thes subs)
SPL is what im shooting for.
    subs are kicker 12" L5's 600wrms x2 ~1200wrms
brands i have looked at in my price range - Audio pipe, Power acustic, Boss, hifonics brutus, and just about any other chepo brands but just about every one ses save your money save your money!!! easy to say when you already have good stuff and havent been waiting 5-6 years just to have your own vehicle to put it in and now that i do have one to put audio in im still put on the wait and save money list.. one way or another i will have a amp in 2-3 weeks. im realy just looking for " quality beginner stuff" that isnt pricy and will give me some play time wile i save for "big boy toys" LOL i didnt think this would be so hard, no wonder there are so many threads about this

2001 bmw 330ci. I know you thinking, dude you drive a bimmer and your woring about a couple hundred dollars. Do a google search "fs: 01 330ci" and there every were cheaper than you think. But I think I know were viking is going with this and that is a rear deck mount and if so that is not an option. In a few months I will have another car and will be able to transport my young one in it there for letting me remove the back seat and have possibly room for 8 +^ft of room to play with. But I'm limited for now so a box in the trunk of ~5^ft max is my only options for now.

    Buy a ap 30001d heres a pic

This amp is 3000 watts at 2 ohms 1500 rms at 1 ohm per channel in the pic its sitting on a 4 12 box then you have more than enough power won't even have to turn it up.
