Introducing myself here, looking to get into car audio as a career and found this place from a link on another forum. Me and my girl live on the Oregon coast, and I'm planning on either doing a self-study thing or going to a school such as Mobile Dynamics (feel free to chime in on that one). I've got a question to ask first off actually. I drive a 95 Integra, currently with no sound system since the bracket for the stereo was all kinds of busted so I just yanked it out. I put my Pioneer deck (DEH-P4700MP) in it since it still works. Need a wiring kit for my Kenwood 400w 4ch amp and the 12" JL W1v2.12 or another amp entirely which would be nice. Stock speakers in the door currently, haven't done much with the car yet as you can tell and my stuff isn't exactly high-end. When it gets out of the shop it's in now for mechanical failures I'll be hitting it hard. My question relates to the installation of an in-dash DVD player with a slide-out screen in my car. If you've seen the dash setup of a 95 you know what I'm talking about. It's slanted and the heater controls are above the head unit. If I wanted to put a DVD player in there, the screen would obviously open up and hit the heater controls, without being able to fully open. Is there a dash conversion kit available to remedy this problem? I haven't been able to find much on the subject, or if it's possible without a fair bit of fabrication.
Dont fret! i do so much HU swapping ive removed my face plate mounts entirly, now i just set the decks in the bottom level of the double din lol. Ghetto i know.
